Loving a Narcissist will hurt you.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder is a medical condition defined in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5). A person with Narcissistic Personality Disorder needs to see a healthcare professional to get this specific diagnosis. But many personality-disordered people don’t seek treatment or want a diagnosis because they don’t consider themselves to have a problem–it’s everyone else who has a problem. Narcissistic is often used as a blanket title for someone who has many or all of these traits, but we need to be careful when trying to diagnose someone without medical oversight. Even without a proper diagnosis, narcissistic traits are still very toxic in any relationship. Narcissism can be treated but can’t be cured. Most often it’s best to learn to assert boundaries and keep your distance for your own physical and emotional health. A licensed counselor, who is experienced in personality disorders, can help you with this. If you're married to one, marriage counseling is not advised with someone with these personality traits as they often are able to manipulate anyone they are in contact with, even mental health professionals and clergy. So just distance yourself, move on from the trauma and forgive.

How to win the "Battle".

With God’s help, King Jehoshaphat overcame not just one army, but three! And his victory teaches us how we can win life’s battles. First, identify the enemy. Many of us have no clue who the real enemy is. We think it’s the person who is interested in taking our job, our spouse, or our money. But many times the enemy is our own attitude! It’s not so much what’s happening that gets us down, it’s our response to the situation. Before you can win on a personal level, you must identify the enemy. Note how Jehoshaphat reacted when he heard ‘a vast army’ was coming against him. He was ‘alarmed’. It’s a fairly typical human response. We see a big problem, panic, and become fearful about what’s going to happen to us. And in truth, fear isn’t all bad unless we deal with it in the wrong way. We can use it to motivate us to conquer the problem and drive us closer to God. It’s when we get discouraged, give up, get angry, and start asking, ‘Why me, Lord?’ that fear defeats us. If you’re in a situation that’s filling you with fear and anxiety today, remember – God doesn’t respond to need; He responds to faith. So stake your faith on His unshakeable Word and stand on His promise: ‘Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand’ (Isaiah 41:10). Unshakeable trust in God’s Word is what brings His help. So wherever you are today or wherever you think you are meant to be, don't be downcast.Take control of your thoughts and your words and start living your best life because only you can give that to you. Not a job, person or thing. Selah!

Kale+Peas+Carrots Puree

So today I tried a mixture of Kale, Peas and Carrots for my Baby MG and she absolutely hated it compared to the strawberries she had yesterday. I can tell she has a sweet tooth but im going to need to correct that before it's too late. My mum said I should keep trying till she gets used to it , so I Shall not give up!!! How has it been for your LO? Have you tried these mixtures before? Let me know how it goes...
KALE is high is fiber and water(which she doesnt seem to like either)-Helps to prevent constipation and promote a healthy digestive tract. It also contains vitamins B and C which promotes iron absorption too.
PEAS are rich in important antioxidants, flavonoids, and dietary fiber too
CARROTS are high in vitamin A, minerals and fiber too.

Maybe next time I'll mix them with something sweeter so it can be more appealing for her. She had at least 4 spoons before she realised the taste lol.

As we wait for HEALING!!!

Why doesn’t God always heal us in an instant when we ask Him to? Why does healing sometimes turn into a journey?I’ve been seeking the Lord for healing for many years, but healing is not happening quite like I had expected or hoped it would. I have seen people instantly healed of sickness and disease, and then I have seen many situations where I have honestly thought, “God, what is going on? Where are You in this? You’re our Healer! Why isn’t this person getting healed?”
I don’t know why God works the way He does when it comes to healing. But what I do know is that as I am in the midst of my own journey toward complete healing, what I am finding is that the Lord often likes to dig deeper than we might expect. He has taken me on an adventure beyond my wildest dreams.
Sometimes we ask for only part of what we actually need – only a small part of what He wants to give. We serve a God who wants to give us far beyond what we ask Him for. He’s that good. He does things the right way. He sees the whole picture.
So what can we do while we’re in the waiting? How can we be encouraged as we endure? Here are 12 truths we can cling to when the healing hasn’t come yet:

1. He is good.

“Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!” (Psalm 34:8 NKJV)

“Oh, how abundant is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you and worked for those who take refuge in you, in the sight of the children of mankind!” (Psalm 31:19 ESV)

2. He tenderly cares for us. He is with us and draws us close to His heart.

“The Lord is close to the brokenheartedand saves those who are crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:18 NIV)

“A Psalm of David. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.” (Psalm 23:1-6 ESV)

3. His timing is perfect. He knows the plans He has for us.

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11 ESV)

“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11 NIV)

4. God’s Word is true.

Jesus has overcome! The Word says that “by His wounds we are healed!” Because of His wounds, our wounds can be healed and our health can be restored. Wounds can be physical and they can be emotional. Health applies to our physical body and our emotions. Just because we don’t see healing, doesn’t mean that God isn’t working. He is always doing a work, and often times His work is done behind the scenes.

"Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed." (Isaiah 53:4-5 NIV)

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33 ESV)

"But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,’ declares the LORD" (Jeremiah 30:17NIV)

5. He can use a bad situation for good, for His glory.

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28 ESV)

6. God’s will is for us to be whole and healed. Healing is there for us to seek as we seek the Healer.

When we seek first the Kingdom, everything else starts to fall into place. The Lord begins to set us up for things He wants to do in our lives.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33 NKJV)

“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” (James 4:8 NKJV)

7. Healing is a need that will take us deeper with the Lord.

We can trust that He will finish in us what He started.

“He rewards the faith of those who give all their passion and strength into seeking him.” (Hebrews 11:6 TPT)

“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6 ESV)

8. His ways are not our ways. His timing is better than our timing.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8-9 NIV)

“The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.” (Lamentations 3:25 ESV)

9. God wants us to ask.

He loves to respond to the needs of His people. To ask is to be obedient. He longs for us to seek Him in all things. He loves when we are persistent with our prayers.

“Answer my prayers, O LORD, for your unfailing love is wonderful. Take care of me, for your mercy is so plentiful.” (Psalm 69:16 NLT)

"Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise." (Jeremiah 17:14 NIV)

"Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven." (James 5:14-15 NIV)

10. Your greatest battle can lead you into your greatest purpose.

Where the enemy tries to take us out, God is working to deliver us. He wants to do the opposite in our lives. He has a way of surprising us with the way He turns things around for good.

“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.” (Genesis 50:20 ESV)

11. Nothing is impossible for God. He does His greatest work through the "impossible."

“But Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’” (Matthew 19:26 ESV)

“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27ESV)

12. He is trustworthy and He is faithful.

We can confidently and boldly declare, “God I trust You. I trust You, I trust You.”

“I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living!” (Psalm 27:13 ESV)

"You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in you." (Isaiah 26:3 NIV)

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18 ESV)

"You restored me to health and let me live. Surely it was for my benefit that I suffered such anguish. In your love you kept me from the pit of destruction; you have put all my sins behind your back." (Isaiah 38:16-17 NIV)

A prayer for those waiting on the Lord for healing:

Lord, I praise You! I thank you for Your goodness and Your mercy. You know my current situation and You know my heart. You say in Your word that if I seek you, I will find You. You say that I can come to You as a little child and boldly ask You for healing and restoration. You say in Your word that healing is there for me. I declare that You are my Healer! When I don’t understand the timing of things, when my life seems uncertain, I will place my trust in You. I trust that Your ways are better than my ways. You see the bigger picture and I know that You have a purpose and a plan for my life. You have good things in store for me because You have good thoughts about me!

Holy Spirit, will You search me and reveal anything to me that I need to be aware of, anything that could be hindering healing. I pray that nothing will be able to stand in the way of Your truth in my life. Lord Jesus, thank You for what You’ve done for us so that we can be whole and healed. I come to You and ask for healing, however that may look for my life. Whether healing comes instantly or if healing takes a journey, may it happen Your way and may it bring glory to you! Will You take me on a journey of healing with You? I will rejoice and praise You all the way!

Lord, thank you for what You’ve done, what You’re doing, and what You will do.
I trust You, I trust You, I trust You!

In Jesus name,
Amen

Criticism!!!!

Oh wow! My moment in the Word blessed me so much th at I couldn't keep it to myself. The bible verse to hold on to is 2 Timothy 2:3 and it says "Endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.’  When it comes to criticism, there are two kinds : constructive criticism and destructive criticism. One builds you up and the other tears you down. I know because i have received both before and i tell you brethren, if not for God i would have been 6foot under because of how destructive this critism was...Infact, it was so bad that i had to beg the perpetrator to stop because of how bad it was destroying me and guess what? They didn't.lol..instead they claimed i hated to hear the truth, but no sweetheart, i love the truth, i just hate the WAY you say it...Like I said, thank God for God in my life. Be wise in how you respond to unfounded criticism and gossip. When your critic wants to remain anonymous, they’re not worthy of your response. When they want to be insultive and insensitive,  they are not worthy of even your presence at all. The story’s told of a pastor who received a letter that contained only one word – FOOL! Next Sunday he held it up and said to the congregation, ‘I received the strangest letter this past week.’ He read the one-word text and said, ‘Somebody wrote it and forgot to sign it!’ You say, ‘But they are attempting to hurt my reputation.’ D.L. Moody said, ‘If I take care of my character, God will take care of my reputation’ (see Isaiah 54:17). Similar story of the wife whose husband insulted all her weaknesses to others and the same words by D.L.Moody applied.. Any time you’re involved in a worthy cause, people will not only try to beat you down, but keep you down. In training Timothy for ministry, Paul told him to ‘endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ’. Difficult people are placed in our path not to defeat us, but develop us. Leaders know this, so they stay and finish the job regardless of the cost. Just like the captain goes down with the ship, the true leader stays until the work is done. You say, ‘Then how should I respond?’ By praying for them! Jesus said, ‘Bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you…and you will be sons of the Most High’ (Luke 6:28, 35). If the critism is true but the method is wrong, focus on the change and leave them alone. They will not get to enjoy the changed you because of the horrible approached. Have you received destructive critisicm today? stay above it! work on yourself, pray for forgiveness, avoid the person and move on...God will send those who will give you constructive critism...I love life, especially with all the lessons I learn each day. Enjoy the rest of your week and don't forget to share your thoughts! God bless x

YOU ARE IMPORTANT!!!

Hello readers, compliments of the season. I pray that this joyous season will bring nothing less than goodnews to your home.

There is a topic i want to share and it was inspired by a conversation i had with my loved ones yesterday and it is about how insignificant people feel in the church and then leave because they either don't feel appreciated or feel limited. I have left a church before for another and the main reason was because i just wanted more...more food, more meat, more challenge and thankfully i found the more in the church i moved to...I felt i could do more for God and also be more disciplined in my salvation. But what i disagree with is when people leave because they dont feel important or appreciated...Remember Noah?? He was only one person and because of Him an entire nation was saved. The devil is constantly seeking who to devour and that is why God has instructed us to renew our minds daily..the devil will always try to lie to you by saying "You are not important". Please never ever believe that.

YOU ARE IMPORTANT!!! Every born-again Christian in the church of Christ has a part to play in God's plan. Whether you are a backup singer or a cleaner or an usher or anything, God has something for you to do that no one else can do just like you can and you MUST believe this. If you don/t take your place or remain in your place and do your part, things wont be quite right.

Look in Genesis 6, and you will see that the people on the earth had gotten so wicked that God had regretted that He even made them. He was ready to wipe the whole population out-but He didn't. Why?Because of one man;Noah! One obedient man saved the human race.

Think about it. What if Noah had said, 'Well, this is just too much pressure for me. I can't live uprght before God in the middle of this ungodly generation. Everyone is just fake, they dont even practice what they preach, i am fed up and i am leaving..i cant make a difference anyway, i am only but one man"..Imagine if Noah said that??

Praise God Noah didnt say that. He didnt picture himself as insignificant or someone who didnt matter or wasnt noticed or appreciated. He saw himself as a man to whom God had spoken and by faith he obeyed God according to the book of Hebrews. And because of that he ended up being the only thing that stoood between mankind and total destruction.

Next time you are tempted to just leave or give up in serving God and man, next time you are tempted to just ignore the instructions of God and be disobedient-remember Noah. Consider the fact that , whether you understand it or not, God is counting on you to carry out your part of His plan. Live like you are someone important in the Kingdom of God. And sooner or later you will realise that YO ARE IMPORTANT!!!
